The site was also used by the Russians to imprison Nazis and other political prisoners after the war. It was very solemn experience and although I took some pictures, there are none I want to post here.<\/p>\n<p>The picture above is a shot of the bicycle parking area at the Oranienburg train station. The trains here are amazing. For a trip of about 40km, it cost us each less than 3 euros to travel and took about 1 hour including one transfer. The trains are a wonderful tribute to the German obsession with efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>Sachsenhausen was all about efficiency too.
