The image above represents more nostalgia discovered while preparing for my garage sale. The items above relate to my motorcycle riding which I did for about 15 years starting in the late 1980s. I also rode bikes while in my 20s, but these items relate mainly to my participation in the Ottawa Valley Touring Club which I joined around 1990. The club had been going for more than 10 years when I joined and is still going. The club was a great way to make friends and find riding partners.

On August 23, 2025, the Giving Gavel will be hosting a live and online auction at Cedar Shade Campground in Alfred, Ontario, with a percentage of the proceeds benefiting the Caldwell Family Centre in Ottawa, which supports families in need.
As part of our efforts, we are extending an invitation to car clubs, motorcycle clubs, collectors and enthusiasts of all kinds to participate in this important event. We are particularly seeking cars, motorcycles, consignments of rare and valuable antiques, collectibles, and other one-of-a-kind items that could be of interest to our diverse bidding audience. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your collection while supporting a meaningful cause.
