Steeple and Sky
The sky seemed heavenly to me. The steeple of the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Carleton Place seemed the ideal means of pointing that out.

This seemed to be an unusual fence enclosing the back yard of a house on a corner lot on High Street in Carleton Place. We need more public art like this in town.
Gable End Window
I thought this was an interesting detail from a huge old house on High Street in Carleton Place. The house had 3 floors and 4 balconies! It’s all in a bit of disrepair though…pity.
Baptist Church
The Baptist Church on Bridge St., built in 1886 according to the stone marker on the steeple above the entrance.

Brick Beauty
The light coloured brick along the corners and over the windows is interesting. Unfortunately the tops of the shutters don’t match the arches over the windows.
Stone House
This is a beautifully restored stone house on James St. in Carleton Place.
Victoria School Museum
The Victoria School Museum was original the town hall. It subsequently became the Victoria School and is now a museum and also houses a display dedicated to Carleton Place veterans.
Vote Dennis Burns
It’s civic election time in Carleton Place, as in the rest of Ontario, so there are lots of signs about. If signs were votes, Ed Sonnenburg would be in trouble.
