I worked for hours (literally) trying to create a better version if the shot that I had taken hand held in the original Mom and Me. I couldn’t get everything to work satisfactorily so I simply took a shot of her photograph and used Photoshop to blend a portion of this shot of me into. I’m now done with this idea.

Yes, this is my mother and I agree she was a lovely young woman in that picture. Unfortunately she passed away more than 15 years ago (I should know at least the year of such an important event, but I can’t recall).
My camera is a Canon 10D that is 5 generations old. I also have 5 lenses which is where my big investment is. I also have a couple of other smaller, more portable digital cameras that I use and a Canon film camera that I don’t. I get the most joy from using the 10D though.
You’re right about gear in the bag though. That’s why I started this blog – to push me to take more pictures. It’s working, although I’m a few days behind right now.
