Kreuzberg

We visited the Kreuszberg area of Berlin today. This shot was taken near Askanischer Platz, on our way from the train to see the Topgraphy des Terrors (a preserved section of the Berlin wall combined with a graphic monument describing the rise, the atrocities and the eventual fall of Nazism. Karen and I both found the exhibit to be factual but quite lacking in emotion and as a result gave no feeling of the horror that those years must have been. The images I took at the monument weren’t as colorful or interesting as this one.
