Wind Chime

CRW 8349

An image of part of something is sometimes more interesting than one of the complete object. I’m not sure why. Possibly it’s because it asks the viewer to imagine the rest of the object. Perhaps it is because it allows the image to focus on the more interesting/relevant part of the object. Should I be using subject rather rather than object or is the subject the part of the object that is in the image?

This is my wind chime. It has been hanging in my back yard for 5 years (or more) and is quite weathered. Although I’ve had to repair it many times, it continues to brighten my day when I am outside or when I can keep my window open.
