As we arrived at the ferry dock to leave Pelee Island, we could see a thunderstorm approaching across the water. It was the last ferry of the day and a lot of people were trying to leave the island. We could see that the ferry would probably not arrive before the storm. Fortunately the ferry dock staff could see that too and rushed us through ticketing and shooed us off to a shelter near the dock where the ferry would arrive. The sides of the building were open so we weren’t completely sheltered from the rain, but it did provide an opportunity to get a shot of the storm on the water.
