This is a shot from where we didn’t get to, today. It was closed. Unlike all other galeries, this one is closed Tuesdays and open Mondays. Drat! We did get to the Jewish Museum and spent too much time there. I think I’ve had enough museums for a few days at least.
The image above is from the Jewish Museum and has a reference to a historically important Jewish Berlin business Kadewe or Kaufhaus des Westens (Department Store of the West). It was started in 1905 by a Jewish businessman. The history of the store and it’s Jewish ownership roughly parallels that of the Jews themselves. The museum describes the history of the Jews in Germany from medieval time until today.
The museum is worth visiting, but like the Pergamon yesterday, I found the audio guide informative, but not easy to match to exhibits.
